As a result of internationalisation, worldwide interaction increases. New techniques and developments quickly reach global markets. This process of globalisation raises the need for international regulation in order to harmonise commerce, the environment and safety. Internationalisation can also provoke a conservative feeling: we want to protect our culture and identity.

This year’s edition features inspiring international speakers and special objects in the Materia exhibition. It is set to be a success once again for designers, architects and of course manufacturers.
