Materia into Craftsmanship

Every country has its own craftsmanship; cultural specialties which are in danger of disappearing due to the industrialization. What is the new craftsmanship? Characteristics of craftsmanship are quality and skill that lead to inspiring solutions and results through a combination of creativity, knowledge and experience. There is a trend to maintain and innovate these crafts since uniqueness, expertise and personification, in times of mass consumption, are being more and more appreciated.

More often designers and architects rediscover the value, opportunities and creative challenges in craftsmanship, which results in new techniques, creative methods and integration of old and new materials, cultures and techniques. During this exhibition we would like to present this “evolution and revival of craftsmanship”.
